Stiles, aged 43, became a figure of immediate concern when officers responded to a call and found him suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite medical efforts, Stiles later died at the hospital.
Orlando Joel Villarreal, 41, was identified and subsequently arrested in Carson on June 15.
