STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Jersey Mike’s, the popular sub sandwich chain with over 2,800 locations across the U.S., Canada and Mexico, has expanded its Staten Island footprint with a third location. Earlier this month, the new 1491 Forest Ave. shop opened to a warm welcome from the North Shore community.
Franchise owner Eric Bokman, who personally works alongside his staff behind the grill, took a moment from the bustle to express his delight with the reception from the Port Richmond neighborhood.
“There’s no true sandwich shop over here,” Bokman said. “Jersey Mike’s is a great bran d… it’s not fast food, it’s fresh food.”
