Firefighters respond to fire in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Several fire crews responded to Hall Street in Grand Rapids near the border of Wyoming for a fire Wednesday night.

A News 8 crew at the scene saw heavy black smoke and multiple fire trucks on Hall Street west of Dorchester Avenue around 10:45 p.m. A firefighter was on an aerial ladder spraying a building as fire hoses stretched down the street. The road was blocked while firefighters battled the flames.

A neighbor who works in a building nearby told News 8 he saw a massive fire in a plastics company. He shared photos of flames and smoke billowing from the building.
