NEW YORK (PIX11) — On top of some severe storms, sustained heat is expected to hit New York City this weekend into next week.
Gov. Kathy Hochul is encouraging New Yorkers to “stay indoors when possible, vote early, [and] stay hydrated.”

How hot will it feel in the city Thursday?
Thursday is shaping up to be the hottest day of the year so far with the possibility of severe storms coming through in the afternoon into the evening. Parts of the city and northern New Jersey could be hit with feels-like temperatures in the high 90s.
Showers and thunderstorms could come with dangerous winds and possibly hail.
