Lopatcong Township police are investigating how a deceased dog ended up in a plastic bag in a wooded area near a bustling highway.
Township officers were dispatched shortly before 10:30 a.m. June 12 to the area of River Road along Route 621. Investigators found the deceased dog, specifically a female pitbull with a brindle coat pattern, placed in the bag, police said.
