Ice cream and mini golf business on Cincinnati’s West Side sold

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – A long-time Cincinnati West Side ice cream and mini golf business has reportedly been sold after more than a year on the market.

The owners of General Custer’s Golf & Gulp on Wednesday posted a message on social media announcing the news:

As you know, General Custer’s Golf & Gulp has been for sale since last year. We believe we have finally found the right people to buy it. We, Kathi and Keith Heinlein are retiring to relax and spend time with our grandchildren. We are glad. But sad and will miss your smiling faces from all the past 20 years! As of 6/19/25 we pass the torch of ownership to Carlena and Gene Lockhart who also own Mingles Ice Cream.
