A San Francisco socialite, former mayoral candidate and heir to a coffee fortune has been charged with three felonies after allegedly ramming an occupied vehicle and leading police on a high-speed chase last week, court records show.
Austin Hills, 45, pleaded not guilty in Alameda County Superior Court on Monday to two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and one count of felony evading. Prosecutors said Hills used his vehicle as a weapon during a June 12 encounter, allegedly using his car to strike another car containing two people.
The charges are considered felonies under California law.
