OAK HARBOR, Ohio — A historic building that has stood in Oak Harbor for more than 125 years is getting a new lease on life.
Once known as the Kuebeler Hotel, the long-vacant structure is being transformed into a restaurant by local residents Barb and Don Gruber, who have already invested approximately $200,000 in renovations.
The building, located in the heart of Ottawa County, originally operated as a hotel. It sat empty for several years until the Grubers, who co-own the Oak & Anchor Inn, purchased it with a vision of revitalizing the space for the community…
