There is now a Heat Advisory in effect for the entire region, including Christian, Todd and Trigg counties, from Saturday through Thursday as heat index values will touch the 100’s.
The extended heatwave will bring a combination of temperatures in the 90’s and humidity that will have a greater impact on people than normal, so people are urged to stay hydrated—in fact, bring more water than you’ll think you’ll need. Limit time outdoors and make sure you’re taking frequent breaks in air conditioning if you must work outside.
