The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office recently made two additional arrests in the 2021 shooting death of Heyward “Trey” Delno Price III, who was found deceased on May 10, 2021, at 207 Shade Tree Circle, Easley.
Following an extensive two-year investigation, Jay’Kwon Tajeek Walker was initially arrested on July 5, 2023, and charged with murder, first-degree burglary, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. As the investigation continued, detectives gathered more information, leading to the apprehension of Shyheen Jaquan Taylor of Clinton, SC, and Roydarius Devontae Simpson of Laurens, SC, on June 13, 2025.
Taylor, arrested in Laurens on local charges, is awaiting extradition, while Simpson surrendered to authorities and is now held without bond at the Pickens County Detention Center.
