Agape Day celebrates Juneteenth through service

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Many people celebrate Juneteenth by hosting events, supporting black businesses, and engaging in community service. But the day after Juneteenth is special for Greek organizations looking to help those who need it most.

“We are giving food away on the day we call Agape Day, Dr. Vanessa McPhail, Office of Equity Executive Director said. “Agape is a form of love, and the highest form of love is charity.”
