TSU, local law firm to study economic impact of delayed Texas freedom

HOUSTON (KIAH) — Texas Southern University and the Houston-based law firm, Roberts Markland, announced a new partnership.

The partnership will conduct a study of the legal and economic impacts due to the nearly 3-year delay when enslaved people in Texas found out they were actually free.
