BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Kern County is trying to allow oil drilling in unincorporated areas of the county once more after the courts struck down the attempt for the second time.
The Kern County Board of Supervisors is set to hold a special meeting June 26, at which they will hold an open hearing and receive public comments on this matter, according to the board agenda.
The Board is seeking to approve revisions to the Kern County Zoning Ordinance to move forward with issuing permits for future oil and gas production in unincorporated Kern County, according to the agenda.
