Man killed in hit-and-run on I-5 off-ramp in San Diego

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — The California Highway Patrol are investigating a reported hit-and-run after a man was killed while walking along the off-ramp from Interstate 5 in San Diego overnight Friday, and are asking anyone that may have witnessed the crash to come forward.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) in San Diego responded to a vehicle and pedestrian crash at 12:44 a.m. Friday. CHP reports an adult man was hit by an unknown vehicle that fled the scene while he was walking on the Hawthorn Street off-ramp from Interstate 5 northbound near Little Italy.
