‘Extreme heat watch’ issued in Upstate NY; it could feel like 105 degrees

Syracuse, N.Y. — The National Weather Service has issued a rare heat watch for Onondaga and six other Upstate New York counties for Sunday through Wednesday.

The potentially record-breaking combination of high temperatures and sweltering humidity could make the air temperature feel like 105 degrees, the National Weather Service said.

That can cause severe heat illness for people working outside or who have no way to cool down their houses…
