GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A man has been sentenced to life in prison for a murder that happened in 1997.
Richardo Sepulveda, a 53-year-old of Cincinnati, Ohio, received the sentencing Friday in connection to the death of “John Doe,” the Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel’s office said in a release. A Lenawee County Jury in April convicted him of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, assault with intent to maim, conspiracy to commit assault with intent to maim, tampering with evidence and conspiracy to commit tampering with evidence.
In November of 1997, a man’s naked body was found in a cornfield in Blissfield Township, located in southeast Michigan, about 10 miles away from the Ohio state line. Police called to the scene found that the man’s head and hands had been cut off, Nessel’s office said…
