PEARL, Miss. (WJTV) – Former Pearl Police Chief Dean Scott has died.
The Pearl Police Department released the following statement on its Facebook page.
We are saddened to hear that former Police Chief Dean Scott passed away last night after a battle with ongoing health issues. We extend our deepest condolences and prayers to the Scott family during this time of profound loss.

Scott resigned from the Pearl Police Department in January 2024. He was named the police chief for the city in 2018.
