Couple believed to have set man up for February robbery in KC

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A couple accused of setting a man up for a February robbery has been taken into custody following a months-long investigation.

Jackson County, Missouri, Circuit Court records filed on Tuesday, June 17, indicate that Marissa L. Leonard, 29, of Independence, and Juan L. P. Guerrero, 29, of Kansas City, have been charged after they allegedly set a victim up to be robbed.

A probable cause statement filed by the Kansas City Police Department revealed that around 10:15 a.m. on Feb. 13, a victim arrived at the North Patrol Station and reported he had been robbed. Dried blood could be seen on his face as his left eye began to bruise…
