EUGENE, Ore. – A man who allegedly assaulted a woman on Pearl Street after she reportedly declined to give him money was arrested on Tuesday, according to the Eugene Police Department.
EPD officials said they responded just before 8 a.m. on June 17 to the reported assault. The victim, described as a woman in her early 40s, was walking when a man, identified as 29-year-old Joel Cox-Lopez, approached her for money, police said.
