Coroner ID’s bicyclist struck, killed by vehicle in Oildale

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified the woman who died after getting hit by a car while riding a bicycle on Sunday.

Carissa Marie Sileo, 34, of Bakersfield, was riding a bike on Roberts Lane, east of Plymouth Avenue, at 11:35 p.m., according to the coroner’s office.

A 21-year-old man was traveling westbound on Roberts Lane in a 2013 Chevrolet Impala when Sileo rode directly into the car’s path, according to the California Highway Patrol.
