Fort Meade Poaching Attempt Leads To High-Speed Chase, Arrests In Polk County

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A traffic stop by a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) officer early Thursday escalated into a multi-agency pursuit across Polk County, culminating in the arrest of two individuals on charges of poaching and reckless driving.

According to reports, an FWC officer attempted to stop a silver 2013 Ford F-150 after spotting the pair allegedly hunting deer from the roadway using a gun and a light. The incident occurred in the area of District Line Road near Fort Meade.
