‘I wish I had trusted my gut’: Hundreds of homeowners say they were scammed by Lexington roofing company now under investigation

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — What began as a trusted roofing business in Lexington has now spiraled into a financial and legal nightmare for customers across Kentucky. Lexington Blue, a company that had operated for a decade, abruptly shut down earlier this year, leaving behind hundreds of incomplete projects and customers claiming they were scammed out of thousands of dollars.

Lindsay Truong is one of them. She says she signed a contract with Lexington Blue in May 2024, after they came to her home offering free roof inspections.

“They were able to get me an insurance claim approval upon inspection,” Truong said. “Then we heard over the news about their sudden and ultimate shutdown just days before our scheduled date. After taking $13,000 from us, between an insurance check and our personal deposit check.”

Since then, Truong says she hasn’t had her roof fixed—and has seen no return on the money she paid…
