Roseville woman found dead feared landlord before slaying, court records show

Court records show the woman found dead in her rented Roseville home earlier this month feared her landlord’s increasingly volatile behavior in the final months of her life.

Roseville officers were called June 11 to the home in the 100 block of Richards Drive, where detectives later determined the woman’s death a possible homicide. Placer County authorities later identified the woman as Dominique Law, 65, of Roseville.

Roseville police on June 12 arrested Law’s landlord, Mia Pennell Fisher, 61, on suspicion of first-degree murder and booked her into Placer County Jail where she remains held without bail. Prosecutors from the Placer County District Attorney’s Office filed the murder charge the following day…
