Syracuse schools to go to half-days next week due to hot weather

Syracuse, N.Y. – The Syracuse City School District will move most of its schools to half-days next week due to the expected extreme hot weather.

All schools – except the high schools which are air conditioned – will close early on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, the school district announced Friday afternoon. The district, with more than 17,000 students, is the largest in Central New York.

East Syracuse Minoa has also announced plans to go to half-days Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday…
