WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT)—If you see a distressed pet locked in a hot car, there is an important step to take.

“Call 911 immediately, call 911 immediately, call 911 immediately. I can’t say it enough,” says Stephen Watson, the Shelter Manager for NHCSO Animal Services Unit.
