Poudre Fire Authority’s newest fire station aims to mix the old with the new while prioritizing firefighter well-being.
Poudre Fire Authority Station 7 opened off of West Larimer County Road 54G in Laporte in April, replacing the nearly 50-year-old Station 7 that was located on Overland Trail. The land for the new station was donated by Loveland Ready Mix Concrete, PFA Division Chief Ross Reinking said.
The Station 7 crew specializes in swift water rescues, wildland fire suppression and technical rope rescues, and the new station was built specifically to support those specialties, Reinking said.
