‘Please continue to come here’: WNC businesses adapt to I-40 closure after rockslide

JACKSON COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — Crews are continuing to clean up large amounts of mud and debris from I-40 after a rockslide occurred on Wednesday.

Officials with the Tennessee Department of Transportation say it’s in the same area of I-40 that was damaged during Hurricane Helene.

This time, the damage is not as extensive, but officials say they expect this stretch of road to be closed for at least two weeks…
