Miami police have put an end to a trail of thefts perpetrated by a man accused of breaking into vending machines on college campuses. David Sharon, a 66-year-old homeless man, has been nabbed countless times in the past for similar crimes. This time, law enforcement officials were able to connect Sharon to burglaries across at least four higher education institutions, including Lindsey Hopkins Technical College, Miami Dade College’s Medical and Wolfson campuses, and Atlantis University.
Surveillance technology and physical evidence were key players in Sharon’s arrest on Tuesday. Even his distinct clothing choice seemed to almost collaborate with the detectives, offering up a silent testimony to his repeated offenses. According to NBC Miami, Sharon is now facing multiple charges including burglary, grand theft, trespassing, and criminal mischief.
