SOUTHPORT, N.C. (WECT) – The City of Southport has announced upcoming street closures, parking restrictions, and park impacts for the NC 4th of July Festival.
“These measures are essential to ensure the safety of the public, participants, and vendors,” the city said in a press release. “We appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation as we prepare for a safe and enjoyable festival.”
Road Closures
Saturday, June 28
- E. Nash Street will be temporarily closed for the Firefighters Competition. Detour signage will be posted.
Tuesday, July 1
- S. Davis Street and Bay Street (from Atlantic Street to Kingsley Street) will close at 6 a.m. for Arts & Crafts vendor setup.
- S. Howe Street will close at 5 p.m. to allow for food vendor setup.
These streets will be closed through the end of the festival and are expected to reopen at midnight…
