JANESVILLE– Two people are facing multiple charges across two counties in the alleged attempted murder by poisoning of two women with whom one of the suspects had prior relationships.
The arrests and resulting charges came a week after the Rock County Sheriff’s Office responded to St. Mary’s Hospital in Janesville on May 12, to investigate a possible poisoning.
Paul D. VanDuyne Jr., 43, of Madison, and Andrea L. Whitaker, 41, of Madison were each charged Thursday, June 19, in Rock County Circuit Court with a series of felonies, including three counts each of attempted first degree intentional homicide with a dangerous weapon and as a party to a crime; one count each of aggravated battery with intention to cause great bodily harm as a party to a crime and using a dangerous weapon; one count each of first degree recklessly endangering safety as a party to a crime and using a dangerous weapon; and one count each of stalking resulting in bodily harm as a party to a crime and using a dangerous weapon…
