Bald Eagle soars above metro rooftops once again, thanks to local rescuers

LINWOOD, Kan. (KCTV) – A wildlife rescue in the metro marked National Eagle Day with a special celebration of its own.

Operation Wildlife, a metro area wildlife rehabilitation organization, says that on Friday, June 20, National Eagle Day, members celebrated with the release of a Bald Eagle they helped nurse back to life.

Organization leaders said Daffodil came to the sanctuary in April after she was found beneath some power lines. She showed concerning signs of neurological dysfunction, but no signs of electrocution…
