SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Saturday’s high temperatures could mean dangerous conditions for people working outside in the unrelenting sun.
DeLong HVAC technician Jayden Underwood said that although he started work early on Saturday, he is still responding to calls during the hottest parts of the day.
“Working in the sun takes a lot of it out of you. Whenever you’re working in the heat and you put in a 12-hour day, you’re not thinking right,” Underwood said. “You don’t know that your body is getting dehydrated until your muscles start cramping up.”…
