Friends of the Library of Hawaiʻi annual book sale comes to Kakaʻako Makai in July

KAKAʻAKO, Hawaiʻi (Island News) — In just a few weeks, Friends of the Library of Hawaiʻi will have its 76th Annual Book Sale at the Kakaʻako Makai in July.

Bookworms can mark their calendars for the annual book sale being held from July 12 to 20. The special variety of books, media, games, puzzles, comics and more can be found at its new location: 200 Keawe St., the former Re-use Hawaiʻi warehouse.

A selection of rare and out of print Hawaiiana titles can be found at what’s one of the oldest ongoing book sales in the country and the largest in the state.

The book sale opens on Saturday, July 12. 80 categories of books and media can be discovered at the nine-day sale with new merchandise added daily. Two discount days will be a part of this sale including Saturday, July 19, where all books will be 50% off and the final day of the sale on Sunday, July 20, where all books will be 50 cents

Members of FLH and its title sponsor Hawaiʻi State Federal Credit Union have access to a preview sale on July 11 from 4 to 8 p.m. Those interested can become a FLH member at the door or online by visiting FLHhawaii.org…
