NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The Norfolk Real Time Crime Center (RTCC) celebrated it’s first year in May, as the RTCC became fully operational in May 2024.
The RTCC serves as a hub for new technology and data systems by identifying patterns, providing information to responding officers and coordinating resources during incidents.

The RTCC is staffed seven days a week from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m., with a a Commanding Officer, a Lieutenant, a Sergeant, three sworn law enforcement officers, and eight civilian crime analysts who work on rotating shifts.
