Station 16 closes in midtown Sacramento; Elk Grove seafood spot staying open

Sacramento restaurant Station 16 has closed its doors, ending a nearly decade-long run in the city’s midtown, its owners announced, but will keep open its sister site in Elk Grove.

Saturday was the Sacramento seafood restaurant’s final day at 1116 16th St. Station 16 chef Minnie Nguyen told patrons Friday via the eatery’s Facebook page. The Sacramento Business Journal first reported the story.

“It’s a bittersweet moment as we prepare to close our doors in midtown. I want to extend my deepest gratitude to all of our guests who have supported us for almost 10 years,” Nguyen said. “This location has been such a meaningful part of my journey — teaching me, challenging me, and helping me grow as a chef and person.”…
