Serving the Ozarks: Alzheimer’s Association of Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — June marks Brain Health Awareness Month, and in Springfield, dedicated individuals are working to support those impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and striving for a future free from its grasp.

The disease affects as many as 125,000 people across Missouri, but the local chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association is ensuring that patients and caregivers do not face this journey alone.

“If you walk into a room, everyone in that room, they have some sort of affiliation,” said Savannah Moenning of the Alzheimer’s Association in Springfield, highlighting the widespread impact of the disease.
