Gaston Low-Cost Spay/Neuter will open as a full-service veterinary hospital on Monday, a project that cost $1 million and has taken over a year to complete.
The Animal League of Gaston County renovated the top floor of the clinic for the expansion, creating exam rooms, a room for dental procedure, an operating theater, a full pharmacy and an X-ray room.
Currently, the clinic has seven veterinarians on staff, and they hope to hire either two more full-time veterinarians or as many part-time veterinarians as they need, Executive Director Diane Finnegan said…
