MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is dead after a house fire in North Memphis, the Memphis Fire Department confirmed.
The house fire happened on Breedlove Street and Vollintine Avenue at 4:07 p.m. on Sunday. The fire department says an electrical issue started a fire in the dining room.
The Memphis Fire Department says an 84-year-old man was rushed to the hospital, where he later died.

“Our crews made an interior attack, and Engine 1 was able to make a rescue of an 84-year-old male,” MFD Public Information Officer Qwanesha Ward said. “He was transported in critical condition. At this time, we have been updated on his condition, and he has passed away. Right now, our hearts go out to the community and the family affected by this fire.”…
