Heat advisory & extreme heat watch

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) – The heat wave is about to go in full force across the area. Tonight we will see a hot and humid night across the area. Temperatures around our coastal areas will fall into the mid to upper 70s. Inland, lows will fall into the low to mid 70s. We should stay mainly clear, and no real threat of fog.

Heat advisory has been issued for all of the area, except for the immediate coastline for Monday. Sunny conditions, will lead to a hot and humid day. Highs will be in the low 90s across the Grand Strand. Inland temperatures will soar into the mid to upper 90s. Heat index values will be in the 100s. Please take those heat precautions.

Extreme heat watch has been issued for Tuesday and Wednesday across the entire area. We will see highs along the coast in the mid 90s. Inland, we will see temperatures reach the upper 90s, to low 100s. Heat index values could range between 105-110. This means all folks will feel the affects of the heat.
