Maranda and Jon Nichols drove from their home in Tiffin to Toledo on a brutally hot day just so their 4-year-old son, Brantley, could see the enormous construction equipment that was parked at downtown Toledo’s Imagination Station.
“We wanted to check out the big equipment,” Ms. Nichols said. “My son’s obsessed with it.”Young Brantley has a collection of construction equipment toys at home, but there was nothing like seeing the real thing.
That was made possible by Imagination Station’s Big Machines exhibit, a two-day event that featured nine construction machines — a bulldozer, a full-sized excavator, a mini excavator, a dump truck, a forklift, a loader, a compactor, a boom truck, and a concrete mixing truck…
