BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A competency hearing has been scheduled for a man facing attempted murder, torture and rape charges.
A psychologist will examine Kristopher Lawless ahead of his next court hearing on July 24, according to court records. A judge will then review the psychologist’s findings and make a ruling on whether Lawless is competent to stand trial.
