FIRST ALERT: System over Atlantic Ocean will likely form into tropical depression or storm

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – Forecasters are expecting an area of showers and thunderstorms over the Atlantic Ocean to form into a tropical depression or storm sometime Monday.

The area of low pressure currently referred to as AL90 is located around 600 miles east of Bermuda. It has a 70% chance of formation in the next 48 hours.
