Three plead guilty in deadly Columbus nightclub shooting

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Three men pleaded guilty Friday in connection with a deadly shooting at a Columbus nightclub in 2020.

Gvon Thorton, 31, of Columbus, and Aaron Clark, 23, of Whitehall, pleaded guilty to felonious assault plus involuntary manslaughter with a firearm and drive-by specifications ahead of their trial.

Marquis Smith, 30, of Columbus, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter, according to federal prosecutors. Smith was driving the vehicle but did not fire any shots.
