Saturday night continued the ride to the NPSL Lone Star Conference playoffs as two matchups took place in Brownsville and in Oklahoma.
Ft Worth went to Brownsville looking to tie or win and eliminate a challenger to the 4th playoff spot. Unfortunately they were unable to giving up goals early and their comeback came up short with a 4-3 loss to FC Brownsville.
In the other matchup in Edmond, CF10 Houston had a chance to not only bounce back from their beat down at the hopes of the Lubbock Matadors but keep their slim playoff hopes alive. Oklahoma United FC was still smarting after their home loss to West Texas FC and ended CF 10’s playoff hopes with a 4-0 victory. Goals by Nakolo in the 6th minute and Forestier in 1st half stoppage time gave OUFC a comfortable 2-0 lead at the half. A goal by Ashraf in the first 5 minutes of the 2nd half salted this one away.
