LOS LUNAS, N.M. — Crews are battling two fires, collectively known as the Desert Willow Complex Fire, that left multiple homes burned and 13 firefighters injured in Los Lunas.
The Cotton Fire started Saturday, at around 3 p.m., south of the Los Lunas Bridge on the west side of the Rio Grande. That fire is 95 acres in size and 20% contained as of Monday. It has burned nine homes and buildings and damaged at least five other structures. Smoke and slurry drops affected 36 other structures.
Meanwhile, the Cotton 2 Fire started along the northeast side of the Main Street bridge Sunday at 9 a.m. That fire is 165 acres in size and 0% contained as of Monday…
