EUGENE — The three-year contract extension for Oregon athletic director Rob Mullens was approved by the university’s board of trustees.
The board unanimously approved, with one abstention, the amended contract through 2033 during a virtual meeting Monday morning. Mullens’ salary increases from $980,000 to $1,150,000 — with $50,000 annual increases — plus $100,000 in deferred compensation and performance and retention bonuses.
Nearing the end of his 15th year at UO, Mullens is due a $1,000,000 retention bonus next week. His annual retention bonuses, which were to be $300,000 for the next four years and $500,000 in 2030, will increase to $500,000 for each of the next eight years…
