CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A woman has been charged after allegedly stealing from a team participating in the FIFA Club World Cup while they were staying at a Charlotte hotel, according to documents.
Ashley Keziah, 36, is accused of stealing items from Ulsan HD FC, a South Korean soccer team, on Saturday, June 21, between 4 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. Conveniently, during that time, Ulsan HD FC was at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey for its Club World Cup match against Fluminense FC from Brazil. (Ulsan HD lost 4-2).
According to a spokesperson with Charlotte FC, Ulsan HD is using Charlotte FC facilities for their training camp during the tournament; however, they are not scheduled to play any games at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
While Ulsan HD has been in Charlotte, the team scrimmaged Charlotte FC’s reserve team, Crown Legacy FC, in a “behind-closed-doors” match at Charlotte FC’s training grounds, where Ulsan won 5-2…
