HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Authorities say an Evansville woman was arrested on multiple charges this weekend after officers say they were shown video evidence of her yelling and grabbing the neck of her autistic grandchild who was left in her care.

According to authorities, officers were dispatched to a report of child abuse on Sunday after three juvenile children were picked up from the home of their grandmother, Darlene Wilis, 59. The juveniles reportedly told authorities that Wilis grabbed one of them by the neck and shove him onto a bed. One of the children showed officers video from their cell phone that appeared to show Wilis screaming “Am I scared?” multiple times while pushing the juvenile’s face into the bed.
