Documentary about the Sisters of St. Joseph premieres

The Sisters of St. Joseph (SSJ) of Northwestern Pennsylvania are being honored for their 165 years of service to the community.

Saturday was the very first public screening of Dear Neighbor, which is a documentary that captures the mission, spirit and impact of the SSJ.

Pollination Celebration takes place at Goodell Gardens

There were two showings at the Erie County Public Library that told personal stories, community outreach and their commitment to justice and compassion.

According to the SSJ Neighborhood Network, the film was created by Menajerie Studio and made possible by the SSJ Mission and Ministry Foundation.

“Well, we’ve been wanting to document it actually for some time,” said Heather Caspar, Executive Director of the SSJ Neighborhood Network. “The sisters are so amazing to be able to show it off to everybody, to have a documentary that we can really screen for everyone, I mean it’s just, it means everything to us.”…
