The chief of staff for the San Francisco Sheriff’s Office was booked into San Francisco County Jail early Sunday on suspicion of a hit-and-run, department spokespersons said.
Richard Jue, a top-ranking official in the department who became Sheriff Paul Miyamoto’s chief of staff in 2020, was booked on a $7,500 bail on suspicion of two misdemeanors of providing false information to officers during a hit-and-run, officials said.
